Elliott tied for 6th; in position to advance to Finals

first_imgElliott will be in the final group to tee off on Wednesday at 10:04 on hole No. 1, joining Spencer Ralston of Georgia and Rice’s Mario Carmona. Texas A&M’s Chandler Phillips and Brandon Smith are tied atop the leaderboard, both at 8-under par, while Braden Thornberry of Ole Miss, and Doc Redman and Turk Pettit follow all at 7-under. Elliott, a Texas native from Liberty Hills which is 100 miles from Bryan, is currently the top individual on the leaderboard that’s not associated with one of the top five teams, meaning if he stays ahead of those individuals that are not on one of the top five teams, he’ll become the first Cowboy golfer to advance to play in the NCAA Championships. At 6-under par for the tournament, Elliott is two strokes ahead of Rice’s Mitchell Meissner who is also playing as an individual. The next closest individual not a member of the top five which is currently Texas A&M, Clemson, Baylor, UCLA, and Ole Miss, is Kentucky golfer Chip McDaniel who is 1-under for the tournament. BRYAN, Texas – Blake Elliott had another productive day for the second round of the NCAA Men’s Golf Bryan Regional as the Cowboy junior shot a 4-under par 68 and will head into Wednesday’s final round in a tie for sixth place at 6-under par through 36 holes and just two strokes off the lead. The penalty was a touchy one. The ball moved in its lie and then he hit it, which is a stroke, and because he didn’t replace the lie, he was hit with a second penalty. So instead of getting a birdie 3 on the hole, he scored a bogey 5. Had no penalty been allocated, he would be sitting in a tie for first place on the individual leaderboard. The Aggies and Clemson are in a battle for the top spot – Texas A&M at minus-18 while Clemson is at 17-under par. Baylor is third on the team leaderboard at minus-6, followed by UCLA at even-par and Ole Miss at 3-over. Elliott played near-flawless golf on Tuesday, sinking six birdies and only two bogeys. He was 5-under for the round before he was hit with a two-stroke penalty on the par 4 17th hole to finish with a bogey 5. He rebounded with a par on the final hole to close with a 68. Elliott is tied with Baylor’s Cooper Dossey at minus-6.last_img read more

first_imgThe Atleti, unknown in this start garter beltHe showed his best game against Barça again, although it was more voluntary than effective. It goes without saying that the box culé has the goalkeeper who has scored less goals in this League. It is precisely in this line that this Atleti has improved the most, whose players presented a great physical delivery. All defended one. A pure rojiblanco DNA technique, with which Dani González intends to get out of the crisis to face the best face most decisive stretch of this season (Super Cup, Cup and Champions). The new coach confessed to having as great challenges to improve the individual level of the players and normalize the situation (third coach). Raúl summons Rodrygo

first_imgAfter not being summoned by Zidane in four of the last five games of the first team (the last four in a row), Rodrygo returns to a Castilla that still aspires to playoff. The white subsidiary is six points from the fourth position, which occupies the Peña Deportiva. The Brazilian only played two games under Raul before breaking into the first team to stay. It was there for the month of September, on the fourth day against Langreo (0-0) and on the sixth against Rayo Majadahonda (3-1). Both in a Di Stéfano that this Sunday will be able to follow his evolutions and those of the newcomer Reinier. The regulations allow Rodrygo to return to Castilla despite having played 12 league games with the first team. The paulista is registered with Raúl’s team, since at the beginning of the season there were no chips available in the first team and, despite Odriozola’s departure in the winter market, the club has not modified his situation. Giménez, Koke … the home work of the Atleti players

first_imgThomas at home, during the corona virus crisis. “It doesn’t stop. #Yomequedoencasa”. With this message, José María Giménez showed on his Instagram how, despite the fact that Atlético suspended training until Monday due to the crisis caused by the coronavirus health emergency, the rojiblanos continue working. He was the first, without leaving his house, using a tree in his garden to insert rubber bands, common during physical circuits with ‘Professor’ Ortega. Photos with his family, with mate and exercise so as not to lose shape, although LaLiga has been suspended for two weeks. It’s not the only one. Felipe, doing work at home during the coronavirus crisis. Like Marcos Llorente that, if the day before was the first to show on his networks how he did not leave the job despite not being in Majadahonda, that tomorrow, as planned, and Atlético does not play in San Mamés, LaLiga, the routine, today He photographed himself in the gym with his partner. Savic, Vrsaljko and Saponjic met, meter apart, to play ball in the Croatian garden. Waiting for Carrasco

first_imgOn January 31, Atlético turned its search for transfers in the surprising winter market. Definitely goodbye to Cavani, welcome Carrasco two years later. A month and a half later, however, his participation in the team is not determining. The Belgian has played, for the moment, 155 minutes spread over five games, 29% of the minutes. In none has it been a starter. When he played the most was against Espanyol, on March 1, 56 minutes. At least the 13 ‘in Mestalla. Morata, the previous winter signing in the rojiblanco team, for example, in the first month and a half under Simeone he had played 592 minutes, more than triple. Carrasco’s arrival was highly conditioned by the situation that the Atletico club was experiencing in January, weighed down by injuries, with Simeone without first-team players to make the calls. Faced with the absolute breakdown of the negotiations for Cavani, Carrasco was the final red-and-white option as he was a footballer capable of playing across the attack front, not just up front. Since last summer, Cholo has insisted on one thing: goals. That is what, for the coach, the campus has lacked since its construction. The parties proved him right. In the Champions League, he qualified for the quarterfinals after alighting the current European champion, Liverpool of Klopp that before measuring the rojiblancos seemed impossible, In the league he is currently sixth, with the lack of goals and draws like a stone in the foot. Ready for Luis LaLiga: the last ten gamesCarrasco conspicuously stood out in his second season at Atlético, in its previous stage. It was 2016-17, which ended with 14 goals in 56 games. Forever three moments: his match at the Camp Nou where Simeone first placed him as a striker and shone, all the compliments comparing him to Maradona, his three goals against Granada at 7-1 and his goal in the Champions League final in Milan. Highly talented, Simeone tries to connect quickly to the new Atlético. His particular preseason should be over for Simeone to have him ready for Luis’s LaLiga match. The last ten games. Those who will arrive after this break in this season already conditioned by the coronavirus health crisis.last_img read more
