first_imgGo back to the enewsletterPier One Sydney Harbour refocuses on health and wellness with the launch of “The Retreat”in collaboration with Lululemon.During February and March, Pier One and Lululemon are offering a full program of activity, including free yoga and meditation overlooking the Harbour, new in-room wellness offerings, the unveiling of a newly designed gym by Technogym and new vegan and vegetarian menus at The Gantry Restaurant.Launching with a morning meditation class earlier this month, Pier One invites guests and visitors to start the day in a mindful way with complimentary 30-minute ‘Meditation On The Pier’ sessions, led by a Lululemon ambassador every Tuesday morning at 7.30am. The brand kicked off the series with a guided meditation by Luke McLeod, founder of Soul Society. Wednesday evenings will be dedicated to complimentary ‘Yoga On The Pier’,  a relaxed 50-minute vinyasa-style class with Lululemon ambassadors, starting at 6.30pm each week.Participating yogis can opt to add on to their evening yoga experience by pre-ordering “Kate’s GoTo Salad”, created in collaboration with Lululemon Sydney’s Community Manager, Kate Russell, and foodie-hub, The Kerrigan. The salad features mixed greens and grilled barramundi rolled in chia seeds with grapefruit, roasted sunflower and pepita seeds, finished with a blueberry and lemon gel.Choose to enjoy the healthy, post-yoga dinner al fresco-style on the pier, perhaps paired with a refined-sugar-free passionfruit kombucha cocktail. Alternatively, treat yourself at The Gantry Restaurant and experience a plant-based degustation on the waterfront with vegan or vegetarian tasting menus.To extend the wellness offering in-room, guests of Pier One now have access to a personal Lululemon yoga mat and guide, featuring yoga poses to help cope with jet lag. TV sets in each guest room will also feature a dedicated meditation channel to ensure tired travellers have an opportunity to unwind and de-stress at the hotel.Recognising the importance of mindfulness training in the workplace to reduce stress and anxiety,Pier One has introduced a collection of “Mindful Meetings” packages for all event bookings at thehotel from February 2019. Talks tackle a variety of topics, such as “Resilience – Succeeding in theface of odds”, “Impacting Leadership & Culture With Mindfulness” and “Foundations of HighPerformance”.
